The protection of your personal data is of highest priority to the Austrian Research Association. For this reason, we would like to inform you of the personal data we collect during your visit to our website and about the intended purposes.

The Austrian Research Association is responsible for the content of the website as both its media owner and publisher. When you visit our website, we will collect the following data:

  • to process your registration for and participation in events of the Austrian Research Association

As a participant in events of the Austrian Research Association, your personal data will be saved if necessary for registration or participation in our events. These recordings may be used in various media (print, TV, online) as well as in publications (print, online) of the Austrian Research Association.

Your application for funding

We will gather the following information as part of your application for funding programmes of the Austrian Research Association:

  • Any information you need to enclose together with your application in order to be considered for funding. This also includes your personal data required for processing the application, which we process with your consent (in accordance with Art. 6 (1)a GDPR).

  • to process your application
  • to document the allocation of funding for the funding organisations

  • erasure of your personal data; there may also be reasons that prevent the requested immediate erasure (e.g., compliance with a legal obligation, for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest, for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims),

  • provision of personal data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (right to data portability),
  • object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may object where your personal data is processed for legitimate interests pursued by the Austrian Research Association or by a third party or for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or for scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes, unless the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out for reasons of public interest.
  • If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you may revoke your consent in writing at any time. The legal nature of the data processing up to the point of revocation remains unaffected.

In the course of this process, we may request additional information from you to confirm your identity (e.g., official photo ID). This request is solely for your protection to ensure that third parties do not obtain unauthorised access to your data.

The Austrian Research Association will respond to your requests as quickly as possible and in accordance with the applicable legal provisions and deadlines.

Complaints
